Our hospital has an excellent team with abundant experience in pharmaceutical preparation, in which professionals accounts for 73.5%. Members of our team have strong sense of responsibility, rich experience and can ensure the supply of preparations with high quality. Also, we strictly follow the quality standards and production process approved by Sichuan Medical Products Administration, which ensures the scientific and normative quality of our preparations. Besides, we have advanced and full-enclosed extraction and concentration equipment that can ensure the full extraction of raw materials and efficacy of preparations. We have a standard workshop with both automatic preparation and distribution equipment which guarantees the safety, standardization, non-pollution and good quality of the preparations.

The quality control team is composed of innovative professionals, with 60% of master's degree and 80% of senior titles. While ensuring the quality of preparations, they are good at solving difficult problems in the process of preparation production and quality control. Our quality inspection room is equipped with HP1100 high performance liquid chromatography, Agilent 1260 high performance liquid chromatography, LHH-150GPS comprehensive drug stability test box, Agilent 7890B gas chromatography, Shimadzu CS-930 dual-wavelength thin layer scanner, Shimadzu UV-210A UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, ZF-90 Multifunctional Dark-Box UV Transmitter, RC-806 Dis oral liquid Tester, CXP500A High Speed Multifunctional Crusher, TD5M-WS Multi-tube Rack Automatic Balance Centrifuge, DZF-6090 Vacuum Drying box, SW-CJ-1D ultra-clean workbench, SPX-150B-Z biochemical incubator, MJX-160B-Z mold incubator and so on, which provides accurate and reliable test data for preparation quality control and clinical application.

TCM Preparation Research Platform

Our hospital has a National TCM Clinical Research Base approved by Ministry of Science and Technology, National Third Level Pharmacology Laboratory [No.: TCM-03-132], National Key Specialty Clinical Pharmacy Project [No.: ZP2201YX024], and a Provincial Second-level TCM Preparation Laboratory [No.: Sichuan Medicine (2008) 2-003]. Based on the construction of these national and provincial laboratories and specialties, the platform was established for both research and development of hospital preparations of Chinese medicine. This research platform, with small-scale, pilot-scale, and large-scale production equipment required for formulation research, not only forms a formulation research system that integrates the screening of traditional prescriptions, pre-clinical pharmaceutical research, pre-clinical safety evaluation research and clinical research, but also  creates a research and development model for series of special preparations based on the combination of disease and symptoms.

In recent years, 15 preparations have been successfully registered for the prevention and treatment of diabetes and diabetic complications, as well as been widely applied in clinic. Besides, we have applied for the production of 8 TCM preparations according to the requirements of traditional technology and related research is still ongoing.
