Brief Introduction

Our Department is the cardiovascular base of national drug clinical trial center and cardiovasculology a key discipline in Sichuan Province. We have catheter room, in-patient section with 67 beds and provide specialist outpatient service. Our first class laboratory is authorized by Sichuan Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The combination of Chinese and Western medicine is adopted to treat cardiovascular diseases and its effect is positive.

According to severity and development of the disease, TCM or the combination of TCM and western medicine is adopted to treat various cardiovascular diseases, such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, pulmonary heart disease, myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmia, heart failure, hyperlipidemia, etc. 

Besides normal medication, percutaneous coronary intervention (including coronary angiography and coronary stent implantation), radiofrequency ablation (paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, atrial flutter, atrial fibrillation, ventricular premature, ventricular tachycardia), IABP (intra aortic balloon counterpulsation) implantation, structural heart disease intervention, left atrial appendage occlusion, permanent pacemaker (VVI, DDD, CRT, ICD) implantation and other advanced diagnosis and treatment are adopted. Cardiac color Doppler ultrasound examination can completed bedside. TCM, western medicine and the combination of TCM and western medicine treatment are provided for patients with cardiovascular diseases. At present, specialized outpatient service is provided: outpatient service for chest pain, atrial fibrillation, and hypertension center.

Chest pain outpatient service

Chest pain refers to any discomfort within the anatomical chest caused by any reason, and also includes pain in other parts of the chest that may appear due to chest diseases. First, we quickly identify high-risk patients and take measures at once to prevent and control the development of the disease. The second is to exclude low-risk patients, so as not to bring unnecessary mental pressure to patients and their families, but also to avoid wasting manpower and material resources.

Atrial fibrillation outpatient service

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common arrhythmia, which refers to the regular and orderly loss of atrial activity, replaced by rapid and disordered fibrillation wave, which is a serious disorder of atrial electrical activity. It is often accompanied by palpitation, dizziness, chest tightness, fatigue and other symptoms. Our department has rich experience in the diagnosis, treatment (including surgery) and follow-up management of atrial fibrillation and other types of tachyarrhythmia, specializing in atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, premature ventricular tachycardia and other tachyarrhythmias. At present, it is one of the few TCM hospitals that independently carry out three-dimensional radiofrequency ablation in the treatment of atrial fibrillation.

hypertension center outpatient service

Under the coordination of several satellite hospitals, our department provides a large proportion of outpatient service for hypertension center. A network of hypertension diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control are gradually established to cover the county level so as to achieve the goals: to provide an accurate diagnosis, an appropriate prescription, some essential drugs, health consultation and follow-up service and a green channel of emergency treatment for each hypertension patient. To increase the awareness of understanding and controlling blood pressure and blood glucose, to increase the emergency treatment rate of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular cases among adults. To decrease the incidence and mortality of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases while lessen the expenses of social and medical insurance gradually.
