The orthopedics department is one of the earliest established orthopedics specialties in China. Through the unremitting efforts by generations, now it has developed into a key department which is based on trauma orthopedics, characterized by spine and joints diseases, and integrates medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. Orthopedics is now a key discipline of Sichuan Administration of TCM, and our department is recognized as a top national orthopedic clinical research center with integrative medicine, and one of the most popular orthopedic specialties in China.

Under the development principle of "inheriting essence of traditional Chinese medicine and keeping pace with the frontier of western medicine”, the integrative medicine subspecialty of spine not only absorbs the essence of TCM orthopedics and traumatology, but also make full use of the latest technology and equipment of modern medicine, so as to treat various spinal diseases in different stages by integrated Chinese and western medicine.
