Brief Introduction
Minimally invasive interventional oncology started at the beginning of 2000. After more than ten years’ development, we have 5 full-time doctors, all of whom have doctor's or master's degree with overseas education experience. About 1000 minimally invasive interventional operations are completed every year. The department is equipped with Mindray DC-80 color doppler ultrasound, Nanjing Viking microwave ablation device, Philips large-scale DSA angiography equipment, and Beihang particle treatment planning system.
Dominant Diseases and Treatment
We follow the belief of "patient-oriented, respect for life". Relying on TCM in the treatment of cancer, and combining TCM and Western medicine, we carry out various interventional treatments for tumor. In particular, significant efficacy has been achieved in iodine-125 seed implantation, tumor ablation, and interventional therapy for liver tumor and humanistic care for tumor patients.
1. Microwave ablation for small solid tumors:
Therapeutic Principle and process
(1)Preoperative: CT, ultrasound and other examinations are performed to determine the location and size of the lesion so as to make ablation plan.
(2)Intraoperative: The tumor is punctured accurately under the guidance of CT or ultrasound (Fig. 1), then the microwave ablation equipment is started to generate heat (Fig. 2), and the tumor tissue is necrotic after being heated (Fig. 3).
(3)Postoperative: The patient is discharged from hospital 1-3 days after ablation, and come to the hospital for re-examination 1-3 months after operation to confirm the effect.
Indications:
(1) Benign thyroid nodules
(2) Ground glass nodules of the lung
(3)Malignant tumor on liver (primary liver cancer, liver metastasis from colorectal cancer, etc.)
(4)Other soft tissue tumors
