Dermatology Department

Brief Introduction

Department of dermatology has unique features and a long history. Its predecessor was TCM external medicine. Our department integrates medical service, teaching and scientific research, and is authorized to award master's and doctor's degree.

We have 91 beds, 6 consultation rooms with more than 170,000 outpatients per year, and 7 treatment rooms including laser room, venereal diseases room, dressing room, medicated bath room, fire-needle and facial mask room, and red-blue light room.

We have 2 national famous TCM dermatologists, professor Ai Rudi and Prof. Zhong Yize who are the tutors for passing down the academic experience, as well as the Top-10 TCM doctors in Sichuan province. We also have 1 academic and technical leader and 1 candidate in Sichuan Province, 1 young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contribution (second batch) of Health Commission of Sichuan Province, 4 doctoral tutors and 9 master tutors. We enjoy a number of academic titles like chairman or vice chairman of TCM surgery committee of China Association of Chinese Medicine, TCM surgery committee of Sichuan Association of Chinese Medicine, Sichuan Medical Doctor Association, Sichuan Dermatology and Venereal Disease Association of Integrative Medicine, Geriatrics Association, dermatology committee of Medical Women’s Association, etc.

Scientific Research

We have more than 20 projects at national and provincial level, including 6 national projects, 5 provincial projects, 2 sub-projects of national "11th Five Year Plan" science and technology research project, and 15 bureau level projects. We have won a third prize of Sichuan Teaching Achievement Award and a third prize of Sichuan Science and Technology Progress Award. In recent five years, more than 200 papers have been published on provincial and national journals. We have been the chief editor of 7 textbooks and monographs and deputy chief editor of 5 textbooks and monographs.
