The department of Breast Surgery integrates clinical research, diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases. We have 3 experts with senior titles of TCM and integrative medicine and a professional and skilled nursing team of both Chinese and Western medicine. We have more than 40 beds in the well-facilitated inpatient section, and an annual outpatient attendance of more than 30000. More than 800 inpatients were admitted and nearly 1000 surgeries are operated per year.

A professional system of breast diseases treatment by TCM is formed through 60 years' clinical experience. We adopt TCM oral administration, external TCM application, external use of TCM, catgut embedding and acupuncture, channel conditioning, massage care, and other TCM therapeutic methods. We have breast color ultrasound examination, the third generation of digital breast camera, breast nuclear magnetic resonance examination, vacuum negative pressure rotary cutting biopsy system, ultrasound-guided biopsy system, general pathology, molecular pathology, rapid frozen pathological examination, modern laboratory examination, gene screening and other modern equipment for medical detection and treatment methods.

A minimally invasive biopsy operating room was set up in the inpatient section for the early diagnosis of breast cancer, TCM characteristic treatment area was founded for the treatment of various benign breast diseases, and an exercise rehabilitation monitoring center was set up for the guide and management of rehabilitation of patients in the late stage of breast cancer. A network of management platform was established to provide prognosis management services for breast cancer patients in rehabilitation period to prevent recurrence and metastasis.

These facilities enable us to provide all kinds of examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services for patients with breast cancer, benign breast tumor and other breast diseases with international advanced ability in the two fields of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine during hospitalization and at different times after discharge.

1. The early diagnosis, modern surgical treatment, comprehensive treatment, and whole course rehabilitation treatment and management of integrative medicine for breast cancer

Regular monitoring are carried out for patients with multiple risk factors for timely detection of lesions. Minimally invasive biopsy of non-palpable and suspicious lesions is carried to ensure early diagnosis of breast cancer.

Our radical operation and perioperative treatment of breast cancer keep up with the latest concepts and techniques of international diagnosis and treatment. Our characteristic treatment includes breast conserving radical surgery, nipple sparing areola complex radical mastectomy and breast reconstruction (latissimus dorsi flap, latissimus dorsi flap combined with prosthesis, rectus abdominis flap, etc.). We supplement surgeries with neoadjuvant therapy, postoperative chemoradiotherapy, endocrine therapy and targeted drug therapy for individualized comprehensive treatment.

We combine network management and ground service to establish prognosis management files for breast cancer patients who have finished treatment (including those who have finished treatment in other hospitals in China), and provide long-term (lifelong) rehabilitation management and services to prevent recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer and improve the quality of life in rehabilitation period.

2. Risk reduction therapy for patients at high risk of breast cancer

Patients with multiple breast cancer risk factors are treated with TCM to reduce the risk.

3. Correction of breast deformity and defect

Reconstruction and defect repair of breast loss (after resection of breast cancer), breast augmentation with flat breast prosthesis, reduction of mammoplasty, lifting of suspended breast, inverted nipple, accessory breast and other breast deformity correction surgery.

Minimally invasive surgical treatment of benign breast tumor

Minimally invasive surgery, such as concealed small incision and vacuum negative pressure rotary cutting is adopted to remove benign breast tumor to achieve the purpose of no trace, micro mark, and protect breast-feeding function. After operation, TCM treatment is used to effectively reduce the recurrence of postoperative tumor.

Treatment of mastitis and hyperplasia of mammary glands with integrative medicine

The treatment of plasma cell mastitis and granulomatous mastitis with integrative medicine is one of our superior treatment projects. The appearance, shape and function of the breasts can recover well and its recurrence rate is low after treatment. The process of integrative medicine in the treatment of mammary hyperplasia, mammary cyst, lactation mastitis, lactation disorder is simple and less painful and its effect is positive.
